BIOS
BIOS stands for Basic input Output System. It is Read only memory (ROM) This system is a collection of software (programs) tools that make the Operating System (the second program that the user sees when they have turned on the computer). BIOS starts the computer up and does all the starting checks such as: checking the operating system is on the computer and then it hands to the operating system. Without the BIOS the user will not be able to access any programs. The Basic input output system checks to see if it has any devices such as the mouse and the keyboard connected to the computer.
